Dakim, Inc.

When Dakim, Inc. was invited to showcase its cognitive fitness product for those coping with Alzheimer’s Disease at the prestigious White House Conference on Aging, the company faced an unusual challenge: how to best leverage the opportunity given that the product would not be on the market for another nine months?

A cognitive fitness device, the Dakim [m]Power™ employs computer touch screen technology to guide the user through a series of mental stimulation exercises that are customized, supportive, and entertaining. For assisted living communities and skilled nursing facilities for whom mental stimulation can be a time-consuming, hard to supervise and administer problem the Dakim [m]Power offers a cost-effective solution which engages seniors and does not require skilled supervision.

To leverage the product’s appearance at White House Conference on Aging, the LGI team arranged for meetings/product demonstrations with policy influentials on Capitol Hill and nonprofit organizations on aging. The LGI team also created media materials for on-site journalists at the conference.

Post-conference, the LGI team placed opinion pieces bylined by Dakim’s CEO in targeted trade publications as Continuing Care Management to provide continuity of exposure prior during the “soft launch” period.

Other health related LGI success stories include breastcancer.org, Kaiser Permanente, and the National Mental Health Association.
