Universal

Universal Studios commissioned Laufer Green Isaac to develop a plan for an integrated corporate social responsibility program. The team’s task was to assess Universal’s current CSR practices and public affairs priorities and provide strategic recommendations on how to effectively leverage existing resources and introduce new programs.

The integrated plan included the recognition of changing demographics and the alignment of Universal’s CSR efforts to a younger audience. Recommendations included an executive loan program to community-based nonprofits, the placement of executives on advisory boards at schools already in their adopt-a-school program, in-kind giving programs, cause-related marketing programs for new product releases, hosting community and school events at the Universal theme park, the institution of a diversity program, raising awareness of existing employee benefits such as child care, company-wide recycling, and the "greening" of all Universal vehicles.
