U.S. Chamber of Commerce – Center for Workforce Preparation

When members of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce indicated that one of the most significant challenges facing their businesses was workforce development, the Chamber’s Center for Workforce Preparation was called upon to provide a strategic series of educational tools and products that would prove valuable to its members – including leveraging a newly formed partnership with Job Corps.

Based on its years of experience in workforce development, and its history of working with the Chamber’s Center for Workforce Preparation, the LGI team was called upon to leverage its experience and research expertise in cross-sector partnerships and communicating with business executives for a wide range of Center products.

The LGI team was called upon to assist the Center with its framing/messaging and provide editorial support and actual development for a Chamber/Job Corps online Webtool, a new “work readiness credential,” the Workforce Leadership Academy, and collateral materials promoting the latest models for effective Chamber/Onestop partnerships. The LGI team was also called upon to provide technical assistance to Chamber and JobCorps partners through presentations in Chamber-hosted Webinars.

Other workforce development related LGI success stories include The National Network of Sector Partners, The Aspen Institute Economic Opportunities Program, and the Ford Foundation Corporate Involvement Initiative.
